so i just watched a league of extraordinary gentlemen...and it made me really angry, but i'm not sure why...the cinematography (i believe i just made up that word...but it sounds right i guess...) was really cool. very tarentino-esque, but not half as good. donnie darko is the midnight movie-speaking of tarentino-god i love santa cruz. though there has been this extreme shift in the dynamic downtown...all these new stores are moving in that are waaaaaaayyy too expensive for a true santa cruzian (though this girl in my english class bought a PURSE for $600 in vegas...i don't get people...) and so they bring out all these rich yuppie assholes...and all the girls look at your ratty converse you've had for 4 years and love to death and do that weird disgusted face...and there's no way in hell i am going to change my shoes to go downtown. that's just crap. there aren't any wandering hippies that mumble to themselves anymore either...that makes me sad. it was entertaining. sigh. fuck you LA, fuck you and what you have done to our once wonderful hippie town (grrrrr!) :shaking fist:
